If you are attempting to send an attachment or some file to the other recipient of your mail in Windows Explorer, then the users may get the Either there is no default mail client, or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client. If you are working on Microsoft excel and busy in sharing a spreadsheet to your client in the form of an attachment by the email, then the users may be encountered with the same error message. This time the message will appear along with a statement appearing written as Quit Microsoft Excel, restart the system of mail, and then try again.
 If the user is performing some work on Microsoft PowerPoint and willing to share his presentation with the other party or business partner through the email. Similarly, when a user attempted to send the document in Microsoft Word as an email attachment, then the same message stating that Word Could not send the email because of MAPI failure “Unspecified Error” occurs.

The problem occurs because of the setting up improper Globally Unique Identifier for the Outlook version on which you are working. The users can follow the below given three suggestions if they are willing to resolve the problem.
The users can choose to perform a quick repair of the installation of Microsoft Office suite and can go through the following steps to do it:-
  • First of all, the users will be required to launch the control panel by going to the Win+X  menu and then tap on the option Default programs.
  • The users will need to launch control panel differently in different Windows, such as in Windows Vista and 7; you will need to tap on option Start and then go to the control panel and then press down the enter key.
  • In Windows 8.1 and 8, the users will need to tap on the key Windows Logo, and then after typing the control panel on the screen start, you have to click on it to launch it.
  • Further, the users will find the option Programs & Features and then click on the appearing option.
  • The users have to click right on the Microsoft Office program that they are willing to repair, and then after selecting the option Change click on it.
  • After then, the users will need to click on the option Repair and then tap on Continue.
  • Microsoft Office suite will instantly start repairing the application, and then you have to restart your computer once when the process is completed.
In some fixes to the issue, the users can choose to set the Outlook version currently they are using as the default program. Also, if the repairing of the applications failed, then the users can choose to fix the issue by uninstalling and then reinstalling the Microsoft Office suite.
