How to Refresh Host File without Rebooting the Browser

When you are trying to create a name strings for the IP address so that it can override the name resolution tricks, the browser may be unable to save the recent changes or finding the host file. You have to use the following methods so that the changes made in host files are saved immediately without rebooting the browser.
Basic Steps
  • Ensure the name is correct, and it states “hosts” nothing else.
  • Ensure there are no extensions attached to them. If the Windows configured to hide the extension, then Uncheck it.
  • Sometimes the issue is related to line ending. So if you use the Windows format to the line ending it will help you to eliminate the generation of error due to this factor.
Leave Old Data and Use the Localhost to Ping
If you have done this correctly, then you will be able to remedy this condition in no time.
  • There are the old caches named “Resolution Data,” and these are used for the present time and will be used for more time.
  • Now, launch the Command Prompt, and enter the command ipconfig /flushdns. Running this data will remove the old data.
  • Now ping localhost, and observe whether it uses the correct IP address or not.
  • If Yes, then you should check problem elsewhere because everything is just fine here.
  • If No, you have to delete everything from here, so that there is no chance of creating troubles.
Try Creating file again with the Default Permissions
  • Generate a Text file.
  • Copy the content of the present host file and paste it on a new Notepad file.
  • Save notepad file.
  • Now, rename this Notepad file with the same host file name.
  • Go to the address, “%SystemRoot%System32driversetc. directory.” Paste your Notepad file here to overwrite the old files.
If still, windows ignore the host file, then create it with the default permissions.
Adding Exceptions in the Proxy
  • Go to Internet Explorer.
  • Open Internet Options.
  • Tap on Connections. (or Launch Run and enter Configure Proxy Server.
  • Tap on LAN Settings.
  • Click on the proxy server.
  • Go to Advanced next.
  • Now add the exceptions in the Exceptions Text Box.
Check Information of DNS Address
  • Go to Network Connections Properties.
  • Enter the TCP/IP Settings.
  • Now you have to change the first server to 127.0.0.1
  • The second server has your DNS IP.
You can perform many changes in the DNS. These are not required, but it can help you to avoid other issues too.
