‘The Venture Bros.’ Has Been Canceled!

The Venture Bros. has been canceled by Adult Swim after a successful run of seven seasons; Christopher McCulloch announced the news on Twitter on Monday. It’s devastating news for McCulloch, who was in the middle of the writing process with his team for season 8. On Twitter, he thanked his fans for their continued “support and patience” for 17 years and informed them that season 8 would not return. McCulloch uses the pseudonym Jackson Publick on the show and on Twitter. In response to Variety, Adult Swim affirmed their decision and promised that they would look for a way to continue the story with Christopher McCulloch and Doc Hammer. Adult Swim added that they also would love to have a Venture Bros. continuation and are currently looking for “a solution.” Variety reports that a possible alternative would be to shift Venture Bros to another streaming platform, possibly HBO Max. However, the alternative is still being studied, and nothing is confirmed yet. Venture Bros. is the longest-running show on Adult Swim, traversing for seventeen years in seven season ventures. The first season was aired on Adult Swim long back in 2004 with its pilot premiering in 2003. The last season arrived on Adult Swim in 2018. There had been generally 2-3 seasons gap in-between seasons. The animated cartoon dipped in adult content portrayed spoofs of many superhero heroes and other pop culture characters. The show followed the Venture family that consisted of slacking teen brothers Dean and Hank, the insecure scientist dad Rusty, bodyguard Brock Sampson, and light-hearted supervillains The Monarch, Dr. Girlfriend, Phantom Limb, and Sergeant Hatred. The voice overs were done by McCulloch himself for several characters along with Hammer. Apart from them, Michael Sinterniklaas, James Urbaniak, Patrick Warburton, Steven Rattazzi, and Dana Snyder. Urbaniak also bid adieu to the fans on Twitter by saying that end is the undeniable truth, and it has come for Venture Bros. He jokingly said that the show had been on Adult Swim for seventeen years and “was now old enough to vote.” He hailed the show as one of the “great gifts of his life and career” and called the fans of Venture Bros. as “the best.” He ended the tweet with “Thank You, Everybody. Go, Team Venture.” Venture Bros. has been a recipient of several award nominations at Annie Awards in various categories that include Best General Audience Television/Broadcast Production, Outstanding Achievement in Music in an Animated TV/ Broadcast Production, Outstanding Achievement in Production Design in an Animated TV/Broadcast Production, Best Male Lead Vocal Performance in a Television Series-Comedy/Musical for Patrick Warburton who had given the voice for “Brock Samson.” Source :- https://myblog-search.uk.com/the-venture-bros-has-been-canceled/
