Boruto’s Main Villain Might Follow The Redemption Route From Naruto

Throughout Naruto, the act of retribution inundated its characters into believing what’s right and what’s wrong. No matter how big of a villain someone is, of course, we are excluding Madara Uchiha; most of Naruto’s antagonists wanted peace and redemption from the very start.

As we see with Nagato Uzumaki, Itachi Uchiha, and Sasuke Uchiha, the act of redemption is something that caused these characters to go insane and seek out the truth even if it means killing their friends and clans for it.

While Sasuke and Orochimaru came back as the hero, Boruto’s arch-enemy, Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, might be the next great villain to seek peace within the two worlds.

Kaguya Ōtsutsuki was the first god-like entity who ate the fruit from the God Tree, harnessing the powers of Chakra for the first time. Over several millennia, she became the top-dog of the Kaguya clan, with members hailing from the other family trees to join her god-like status. While she was, technically, not the actual antagonist of the Naruto and Naruto Shippuden series, Kaguya Ōtsutsuk became the central villain and the most feared entity in the Boruto universe.

In chapter 460 of Naruto: Shippūden, Sasuke, and Naruto fight with Kaguya Ōtsutsuki and somehow manage to seal her away because killing her is impossible. Using the Six Paths Sage, the seal was established, and Kaguya was segregated into a confinement zone.

Even though all Kaguya Ōtsutsuki wanted was peace and love to flourish the planet, several wars and her clan members made her return in her godly form. While Boruto is still young and he sees Kaguya as a threat to humanity, deep down in her heart, Kaguya still yearns for peace in the world she created with her hand.

In Boruto, the Kaguya clan members keep popping up on earth to get their hands on whatever exists in the Ninja world. While Isshiki Ōtsutsuki was defeated several times, there is no way to kill him in existence. Kaguya came on the earth as a celestial being, planted the God Tree, shared Chakra with other humans, and even had kids, but other Kaguya clan members had more sinister goals like feeding the humans to the God Tree and Ten-Tails Beast.

However, her love and care for the planet fluctuated when the great war broke out, and with no other reason to stay on earth, Kaguya punished humanity for their sins. She even brought her sons Hagoromo and Hamura to feel her wrath as the goddess of the universe.

But Boruto’s universe is a little better now, and heroes and even the villains have cooled down and learned to live in harmony. Maybe Boruto has reached its goal of creating a peaceful world with other clans existing in the same place. And now, there is a possibility of Kaguya returning to her former self, and maybe she reached her goal of adoring the world she created thousands of years ago.

Conclusion

While Kaguya Ōtsutsuki’s plan of leaving the shinobi world for the better, her clan members keep influencing the peace, and maybe she might team with the humans to bring justice to the world she created. It is worth noting that Kaguya hated her clan and the powers they had. Even though she is a celestial being, her powers are nowhere near that of other creatures in her clan who are equally daunting and hungry, just like her arch-enemy and ex-husband -Isshiki Ōtsutsuki.
